Essential oils are used for a very wide range of beauty and wellness applications. They can be used a single oil at a time or in blends in one of three methods:

Certain essential oils, when diffused, can be very stimulating, while others can be calming and soothing. Diffusing essential oils can also cleanse and purify the air of unwanted odors.

Essential oils are easily absorbed by the skin and can be safely applied topically.

Certain essential oils have a rich culinary history and can be used as dietary supplements for targeted wellness.

Essential oils are both exciting and promising. When it comes to taking care of your own and your family’s health. I never believed how powerful they were until I started using them myself ! My daughters have saved hundreds in doctor bills and medication costs. Because they started using essential oils as well for their own families. Whether you’re applying essential oils topically, enjoying the aromatic benefits through diffusing, or taking essential oils internally, the positive effects of essential oils are endless.

Ways To Use Essential Oils In Your

Beauty Routine

We all know some creams and lotions created by dermatologists and hair professionals work. But have you taken a good look at the ingredients on a jar of expensive miracle potions? Chances are that some of the ingredients used to make the “magic” happen are essential oils.

So instead of spending big bucks on products that may contain chemicals and harmful additives, DIY at home! Obtain your essential oils and make that magic happen yourself inexpensively.

Get educated about essential oils. Most of them are not meant to be applied directly to your skin or hair. But rather, mix them with a carrier oil such as coconut, olive or jojoba to avoid irritation and to increase the the hydrating properties of your beautifying recipe.

1 – Get rid of acne

Use TEA TREE OIL –  it naturally kills bacteria. And it also works on       nail fungus, dandruff, as well as takes the sting out of bug bites.

2 – Hair moisturizer

ARGAN OIL is one of the best as it contains hair-moisturizing vitamins and fatty acids. You can also use avocado and caster oil.

3 – Improve your hair growth

Ylang-ylang oil has been used for centuries to protect hair and keep it long and strong. Jamaican black castor oil also helps with hair growth.

4 – Brighten your skin

Get rid of dull skin and make your face shine with rose hip and jasmine oil.

Rose hip oil contains vitamin C and lycopene. These rejuvenate the skin. While jasmine helps skin elasticity and fade stretch marks.

5. Turn back the clock on aging.

Choose essential oils like geranium, patchouli, and frankincense. Geranium oil has astringent properties that can help tighten aging skin while encouraging skin cell turnover. Patchouli and frankincense also have anti-aging effects and they help control skin oiliness, eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.

6. Block free radicals.

Beta-carotene and vitamin A found in carrot seed oil both detoxify the skin and promote cell growth. This helps block free radicals found in the environment. Some also use it as a natural sunscreen. But doctors are split on whether it really can replace your store-bought skin protection.

7. Slough off the dead skin.

The key to youthful, glowing skin? Exfoliation, exfoliation, exfoliation! Sweet almond oil offers a natural—and non-irritating—way to get rid of dead skin cells. The oil also works to even out skin tone and lighten tough dark spots that come from the sun.

I will tell you that my favorite essential oil is oil of oregano. I will not be without it! Stuffed up? You may find some relief by adding a couple drops of oregano oil to a diffuser; and inhaling for a few minutes or take a drop under your tongue. Drinking a few drops of oil in juice or water may also provide some relief from a sore throat. It has NEVER let me down! No more sinus infections!

You really need to keep a bottle on hand!

But it tastes terrible: Don’t expect that you’ll enjoy taking oregano oil, even if you love Greek food. It has a much more potent taste in oil form, so be prepared! But it DOES work for me!!

Register on the right and keep informed as I post more about essential oils and how to use them.
